“SPACIOUS PLACE” – this is the name of a brand new exciting community engagement café that is now open at our premises of 2 - 4 Chase Road, Corringham, SS17 7QH.
Spacious Place is a vision that Thurrock Christian Fellowship has carried and nurtured for a few years now and is based on the scripture found in Job 36:16 “He is wooing you from the jaws of distress to a spacious place free from restriction, to the comfort of your table laden with choice food”
The outworking of this is to create a safe space where people can come from their own life situation which may seem like a place of anxiety and distress into a place where they can enjoy peace, rest and receive the practical provision of God’s love and at the same time be supported by volunteers and qualified people through any life or well being issue.
The Cafe is open 5 days a week, Monday through to Friday, from 9am to 3.00pm.
As a community engagement café, we offer more than just tasty refreshments and a place to meet. Our links to the Thurrock Christian Fellowship and the Thurrock Foodbank mean that we can offer a variety of support to local residents. Whether that’s simply someone to chat to, or a life and well-being issue that you need help with, we have qualified people that can assist you. If we can’t help you there and then, we can also direct you to other services in the area.
